Shawn’s Thoughts: Monday Night Raw 12/14/2009

Here are my views from the “Slammy Awards hosted by Dennis Miller” edition of Monday Night Raw:

Positives:

Bret Hart Tease: This is a positive as it sparked alot of talk whether or not Bret Hart will be hosting the January 4th edition of Raw that goes head to head with TNA Impact.

Taker vs. HBK At WM 26: Over the past 45 days or so, it was thought that either Chris Jericho or John Cena would face Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26. With a potential rematch of arguably the best match in Wrestlemania history, I give it a thumbs up.

Sheamus: Many don’t like this guy, but his acceptance speech of “Breakout Star Of The Year” did its job. He really put on the heel heat this week, compared to previous weeks. I’m also glad that WWE creative didn’t drop the belt off him so quickly.

Negatives:

Dennis Miller: I’m a fan of Dennis Miller, but it almost seemed that he didn’t care one bit. Not to mention you could tell that he hadn’t rehearsed any lines.

Kofi Kingston: After coming off a huge push over the past few weeks, last night it seemed creative forgot all about him. This could turn into a positive if a tag team if formed with Kingston & Evan Bourne.

Chris Jericho Gets Booted: Easily WWE’s best heel on the mic, and they boot him off Raw.

Divas Tag Match: Seriously why give us a tag match if only two divas will wrestle?

John Cena: He gave a strong promo, but it is the same as always. WWE really needs to revamp this gimmick.
