– While details are still extremely sketchy, Shane McMahon indeed did meet with UFC officials in Las Vegas last week. As of this writing, all signs point to that nothing was signed, nor did anything happen that would of resulted in negotiations breaking off.
It appears at this time that Shane made the decision to leave World Wrestling Entertainment after a argument with his father. The belief among many is that Shane will end up in UFC, likely doing something very similar to what he does with WWE (President of Global Media). The feeling is that Shane was instrumental in opening doors for WWE internationally, and with UFC wanting to get Mexico market, he would be a logical choice.
Carl DeMarco, the former WWE Canada President, also met with UFC officials last week. Both DeMarco & Shane are extremely tight. The feeling is that both will end up with UFC as a “package deal”.
