– World Wrestling Entertainment is in a dilemma of sorts now that Hulk Hogan signed with TNA Wrestling. The dilemma is, WWE is set to release a three disc DVD set dedicated to Hogan in just a few weeks.
Whenever a former WWE star signs with TNA, they instantly become persona non grata in the company. This means for instance, when Victoria & Mick Foley left WWE, their profiles in the WWE.com alumni section were removed. Also, fan signs bearing the names of former WWE wrestlers that are in TNA are quickly confiscated by security. WWE has never dealt with this type of situation where they have a major product set to be released on a performer employed to one of its competitors.
The DVD set features some of the rarest matches and moments from Hogan’s career. It is set to be released three weeks from now.
It is highly unlikely that WWE will pull the DVD set considering that production of the title has most likely been finalized by now. Furthermore, WWE DVD sets often being circulating weeks before the actual release date, so retailers may of gotten shipments already or are getting ready to.
As a result, WWE has no choice to release the DVD set and promote it, other wise it will cost them a good amount of money.
