Shawn’s Thoughts: “Breaking Point” Predictions

– Tonight World Wrestling Entertainment will air the latest pay per view event, Breaking Point. One of the latest PPV’s in which will be a “themed” PPV. Tonight’s show will feature submission matches. Here are my predictions.

Kane vs. Great Khali- Singapore Cane Match
I’m still not 100% why they would put this match on a PPV card. Either way, look for the feud between these two to continue. I’m going for Kane to win the match.

Submission Counts Anywhere Match- DX vs. Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase
I think this could definitely be a good match. The program between the two tag teams is really helping to elevate Rhodes & Dibiase. I’m going for DX to win the match.

Chris Jericho & Big Show vs. Mark Henry & MVP – Unified Tag Title Match
The singles matches between Jericho & MVP has been awesome the last few weeks, and if tonight’s matches are anything like them, it won’t disappoint. I’m going for Henry & MVP to win the match tonight, and we’ll see rematch at WWE’s next PPV “Hell in A Cell”. This will only help elevate those like MVP.

United States Championship- Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz
e haven’t really seen these two go at it yet in singles action, but the four way bouts were entertaining. Look for Miz to win the match.

ECW Championship- Christian vs. William Regal
With ECW’s only match on the card, hopefully they will book the match to be more than a minute. Christian is working as ECW Champion, and I don’t think WWE would want him to drop the title yet.

World Heavyweight Championship- Submission Match
Undertaker vs. CM Punk

This one is going to be hard to predict. On one hand, it would better for Punk to somehow win the match, to help further elevate his heel status. At the same time though, it is hard to think that Undertaker would actually submit. I am going to go for a massive amount of interference to cause a “screw job” that leads to Punk winning.

WWE Championship- “I Quit” Match
Randy Orton vs. John Cena

Orton has had a solid run this past year as WWE Champion, and his heel status is becoming cemented. I have a feeling we’ll see Cena walk out tonight as WWE Champion, which would lead to a rematch at “Hell in A Cell” next month.
