– The Orange County Sherrif’s department stated this afternoon that the autopsy results are not back in the death of former UFC fighter Justin Levens and his wife Sara McLean-Levens who were found dead from apparent gunshot wounds on their bed in a Laguna Niguel condo by McLean-Levens’ mother who hadn’t heard from her daughter in a few days.

Police believe that the couple had been dead for a couple days when they were found around 2:30pm yesterday. No suicide note was found, but police still believe it to be a murder suicide.

Levens and his wife were both scheduled to be in court to face charges of assault with a deadly weapon this past Wednesday. Levens was reportedly in significant financial trouble and fighters close to him say that they could see him spiraling downward, especially after the suicide death of Southern California Condors member Jeremy Williams.

Levens had been under a 180 day suspension from fighting since July by the California State Athletic Commission for testing positive for high doses of the pain killer oxymorphone for a fight on a July 19th Affliction show that ended up being canceled due to time constraints.

Pain pills along with anti-depressants were found in his home at the time of his death.

Police had been called to Levens’ home twice over the past month, including one time due to a suspected drug overdose. Orange County Sherrif’s department cannot confirm yet, but it is a possibility that he was the shooter.
