According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, Barry Windham was released by the company. Windham has been working as a producer backstage. No one close to the situation seems to know the details on his departure and it could of been another cost cutting measure by World Wrestling Entertainment. He hasn’t been around in a few weeks, and word began making way this week that he had left the company.
Windham had signed as a producer for World Wrestling Entertainment around the time his father Blackjack Mulligan was inducted into the Hall of Fame. He didn’t start as producer for a long time as he was recovering from back surgery.

Any Wrestling company no matter how small or how big would be lucky to have Barry Windham in any capacity working for them. If TNA and ROH are smart they will reach out to Barry Windham and hire him.It would be good for their business.
